1. Worshipping God must be in spirit and truth. It must be given from the individual’s heart and given in the way the Lord wants it. (John 4:24, Colossians 3:17).
2. Worship is an act of reverence. It means “to kiss the hand of one.” Thayer’s Dictionary. (John 4:24).
3. Collective worship is to be done of the first day of the week. (Acts 20:7).
4. Saints are to gather together and not forsake the assembly (Hebrews 10:25).
5. Prayer is to be given, supplication, praise, and thanksgiving (1 Timothy 2:1-4, 1 Thessalonians 5:17).
6. Singing must be melody from the heart (Ephesians 5:19).
7. Singing is to be acapella – no instrumental music, note the command to sing (Ephesians 5:19. Colossians 3:16).
8. There must be a giving of resources (1 Corinthians 16:2, 2 Corinthians 9:6-7).
9. Preaching is to be done (Acts 20:7, Romans 10:14).
10. The Lord must be remembered for His sacrifice to save mankind (Luke 22:17-20, Acts 20:7, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
