God Knew man was going to sin against Him. He devised a plan before the foundation of the world to save man (Ephesians 1:1-14)
You have to read the New Testament to understand God’s plan. There is no one place in the Bible that lists all the steps of salvation.
Faith is necessary for salvation. Jesus said, ” Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins“, John 8:24. Faith only comes by hearing God’s word (Romans 10:17). You have to read or hear His word to have faith. It’s the only was people come to have faith in God and Jesus. Faith means to trust Him. Jesus has made awesome promises about life on earth and the afterlife. You must believe Jesus is the Son of God and the he was raised from the dead.
Repentance is also necessary for salvation. Jesus also said, “I tell you, no but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish,” Luke 13:3. To repent is sorrow unto God for your sins and a determination to not sin.
Confession “that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation,”Romans 10:9-10.
Baptism is immersion in water to wash away sins, Mark 16:16 has it that salvation comes after being baptized. “He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved: but he has disbelieved shall be condemned.” There are many Bible verses regarding baptism. They all point to salvation. Romans 6:4 states that through baptism we rise to newness of life.
