Be Kind! Ephesians 4:32, “Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you,” NLT.  The kind life is God’s best life in this sin-torn world. Kindness is the grease that lubricates every relationship. Want to stop wars? Each nation is kind to another. Seriously. Countries can do this. Jesus said so. Want to stop divorce? Be kind to your spouse. How about abusive work relationships? Kindness. Family issues? Work kindliness.

Everything Solved by Kindness? No. The world is a sinful place, after all. No one is perfect all the time. We let our emotions get the better of us. We say or do things we regret later. But you know, an apology is kind. A soft word is kind. A heart open to reconciliation is kind. The world is a better place if we begin relationships in kindness. Sharing is kind. Laughter is kind, sharing someone’s grief is kind, so is a hand of help, so is lifting a down-trodden heart. Kindness abounds if we will it be so.

It’s What Jesus Wants! “Why do you call me lord and do not the things I say?” Luke 6:46. The Holy Spirit told the apostle Paul to write Ephesians 4:32. Jesus is Lord of all in heaven and earth, Matthew 28:18. So then, if the Lord says to be kind and if we don’t express a kind disposition, is Jesus our Lord? God’s way of living is the best, the sweetest way. In reality, people scramble and fight for “the best life” when all we need to do is follow our Lord’s commands.
