1. Faith can also be defined as trust. (2 Corinthians 5:7).
2. Faith, or trust, in God or Jesus comes by persuasion through the word. (Romans 10:17, 2 Corinthians 5:7).
3. Walking by faith means reliance upon Jesus for salvation. (Acts 4:12, John 8:24).
4. We have faith in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit by the word even though we have not seen any of the Holy persons. (Hebrews 11:1).
5. To walk by faith means to live by trusting Him. (Exodus 13:20-22, 2 Corinthians 4:18, 1 Peter 1:8).
6. We don’t know where we are going in this life, nor what may happen, but we trust our God who leads us home. (Proverbs 3:5-6, Romans 8:28).
7. God is faithful to us with a Godly strength. (1 Thessalonians 5:24, 2 Timothy 2:13, Hebrews 10:23, Hebrews 11:11).
8. We are to be faithful to Him just as He is faithful to us. (Ephesians 1:1, Colossians 1:2, Revelation 2:10).
9. We are to be trusting. (Psalm 112:7, Philippians 1:14).
10. We cannot know, or see, how to navigate this world and reach heaven, except by relying on God’s word. (Psalm 119:105, Matthew 7:13-14, 2 Corinthians 1:9-10).
