1. For ourselves, we must ensure that every “Christian” organization we come to reflects the true essence of the New Testament church, which is founded on the teachings of Jesus. (Matthew 16:18).
2. The creation of man-made denominations strays from the path laid out by Jesus, reminding us of the importance of seeking authentic connections rather than divisions. Rejecting denominationalism is a righteous stand for unity and truth. (Matthew 15:8-9, 2 Timothy 4:2).
3. True fellowship is built on sound doctrine, and we must strive to uphold the teachings of Christ to maintain the purity of our faith. (Galatians 1:6-9, 2 Timothy 3:16).
4. The essence of Jesus’ local churches dwells in His name— “church of Christ.” It invites us to embrace our identity not as mere members of a denomination but as devoted followers of Christ. (Romans 16:16, 1 Corinthians 12:27).
5. Jesus, as the head of the church, inspires us to look beyond human structures and organizations that often distract from the ultimate guiding light. In Him, we find true authority and purpose. (Ephesians 1:22-23).
6. In the New Testament church, there is no human leader above others. Let’s remember that only in Christ do we find our true leader, transcending the limitations of man-made hierarchies. (2 Timothy 4:1-4).
7. Embracing the names “Christian,” “disciple,” or “Saint” is a beautiful reminder of our calling. Each title reflects our commitment to embodying Christ’s love and teachings in our lives. (Acts 20:7, Romans 1:7, Acts 11:26).
8. Let us hold Scripture close to our hearts and honor Bible authority, recognizing its power to guide and transform our lives. (1 Peter 4:11, 2 Timothy 4:2).
9. Denominationalism poses a significant risk, leading even the sincerest individuals away from the truth. We must navigate our faith with care and caution, ensuring we remain steadfast in our pursuit of righteousness. (Matthew 7:15-20, 15:14).
10. As we prepare to stand before the judgment seat of Christ, let us strive to get our faith right and inspire those around us to do the same. The journey begins with dedication and a desire for truth. (2 Corinthians 5:10).
Together, may we be united in our love for Christ and our commitment to His teachings!
