What’s Your Greatest Desire

What’s Your Treasure?

WHAT DO YOU WANT MOST IN LIFE?

Getting More

Here’s a small exercise that anyone can do. Ask yourself what the five most desired are. List them on a piece of paper.

I suspect people will list money, success, ensuring our basic needs are met, the esteem of self and by others, safety and security, and living a meaningful life. There are, to be sure, ways to acquire these five desires. For example, we can get money by working for it, someone giving it to us, or perhaps by receiving returns on stocks and bonds. There are also ways to meet our basic needs. You get the idea.

Having Jesus

Did you consider Jesus as the most important in your life? Could He be the most desired item for you?

People may say: “Yeah, I know religion is important, but I live in the here and now.” Another might say, “I don’t do religion.” Then again, someone might say, “I’m a Christian, but I don’t go to church very much.” Yet, a sincere Christian will say, “Jesus is the most important part of my life. I owe Him everything.”

Jesus is indeed the most essential part of life. After all, He created everything that exists, John 1:3. He created water, earth, animal life, human life, plant life, our sun, moon, seasons, earth’s orbit around the sun, all stars, and all planets. He created all of us, too; we are living this moment by His will, made in this time frame within your birth country. Psalm 139:1-17.

Understanding why Jesus created us in the century of our birth is a mystery. It’s also a mystery we were born in our birth country.

Also, I see from Bible statements that God controls the nations. The book of Daniel points out that God raises nations and takes nations down, Daniel 2:21.

Consider these points about Jesus.

  • He was miraculously born.
  • He accurately taught God’s will.
  • He performed miracles.
  • He lived a perfect, sinless life.
  • He loved mankind as only God can do.
  • He is deity.
  • He was killed just as prophesied.
  • He was buried in a rock tomb but resurrected on the third day, just as He said.
  • He built His church, as promised.
  • He is the only way to the Father and heaven.
  • He is our only savior.

Heaven and Hell Are Real

Friends, heaven is the abode of the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. There are multitudes of angels there.

Hell is the abode of evil. Not having a relationship with Jesus will get you there.

So then, Jesus should be, and always be, the most desire in life.

Jesus continues His work today. He holds all things together, Hebrews 1:3.

He sits at the Father’s right hand and controls everything.

He is the only head of His church.

Jesus is to be our everyday life from our hearts, Mark 8:34-35.

From our hearts, we obey Jesus and do good to all people.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, Ephesians 1:3.
